Who we are

Ludus builds digital tools trusted by thousands of organizations of all sizes to power their event ticketing, marketing, fundraising, and registration needs. Ludus is fully remote and proudly based in West Michigan.

When donors donate online, they'll pay by card. If a donor gives you cash or check, you can manually enter those donations via the Donations screen in your Ludus admin panel.

Donors are automatically added to your donor wall (they can remain anonymous if they'd like). Each donation comes with a "Match" button so others can match or beat those donations.

Set a specific fundraising goal and a deadline for your Fundraiser. Your Fundraiser will have a progress bar showing how close you are to your goal to encourage donations.

Recurring Donations

When donors make one-off donations, they opt to make those donations into monthly or annual recurring donations. We'll automatically charge them and send them a receipt each time.

Each donation comes with a confirmation email and receipt. You can customize this email with your 501(c)(3) information and a custom thank you at the top of the receipt.

Each Fundraiser comes with a shareable page, so you can direct donors to your Fundraiser via email or on social media. Include custom text, graphics, and videos.

How We Hire

Responsible Hiring

Many startups raise money, hire a ton of people, and try to figure things out before running out of cash. Ludus, on the other hand, is bootstrapped, has insane PMF, and only hires when it hurts, meaning when we actually have the capacity and financial resources to do so. This allows us to responsibly grow Ludus at a manageable pace without relying on outside capital to survive.

Interview Process

Our interview process is designed to find the ideal candidate who is uniquely suited to thrive in this role and in the culture of our organization. Our initial interview prioritizes understanding each candidate on a personal level to ensure a match our culture. After determining culture fit, subsequent interviews focus on professional experience, critical thinking, and role-specific questions. Oftentimes, we bring members of our existing teams into the interview to ensure buy-in and comfort with each new member joining our small, yet mighty company.

Onboarding

Our onboarding process is designed to help new hires make contributions right from the start. We believe strongly in “learning by doing” and that by bringing new employees into the fold of our day-to-day, they will gain a deeper confidence in their new role. The onboarding journey for our employees combines asynchronous learning methods with hands-on experiences. Through this balanced approach, we prioritize a swift integration into our work environment, equipping each team member with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive from day one.
