Our story

Ludus started as a side project for a director who needed an easier way of selling tickets online. After having a successful show using this new platform, other directors in the area came knocking on the door wanting to use what eventually became Ludus. Ludus is now used by 3,500+  organizations throughout the U.S. including K-12 schools, colleges, community theatres, and performing arts centers of all sizes to manage their ticketing, marketing, fundraising, and streaming.

At Ludus, our mission is to build tools that empower everyone involved in the arts to focus on what they do best: sing, dance, play, act, direct, and perform. Whether you’re an actor, instrumentalist, vocalist, director, teacher, box office manager, or any other role – we are here to help you embrace the arts.

Overall, we believe in the power of the arts and the power of the artist. Communities, students, and the world need the arts to thrive (even if a few cynics say otherwise). It’s up to us to use our resources to ensure the arts remain in our lives for generations to come.

Our history

Where we started and where we are now
2016

After starting as a side project, Ludus officially became a company in 2016 after it was evident there was a need for a product like Ludus.

2019

Ludus opens its first office in Holland, MI after breaking record growth numbers and growing the team.

2022

Ludus grows to a team of 10+ after weathering the pandemic of 2020 and reaching 2,000 organizations as customers.

2024

For the second year in a row, Ludus made the Inc. 5000! Ranked #155 on America's Fastest-Growing Private Companies list with 2,319% 3-Year Growth, #17 in Software, and #1 in Grand Rapids.
